About The Artist

Inspired by my life with chronic pain, I am deeply interested in the way art can bring light into the darkest of places. We often see the world as black and white, figuring beauty can't exist within pain. Spending my every day with pain as a companion challenged me to find beauty in my surroundings. I created characters and worlds, capturing those stories and feelings in my work.

Through a technique with paste and charcoal, I start expressing my pain, but through a combination of mixed media materials, I aim to turn it into something colorful, hopeful, and inspiring.

Painting, and art in general, taught me so much about myself and changed my perspective on life. And even though the pain is still frustrating, exhausting, and demanding, I wouldn't see the world around me the way I do now. I wouldn't know how much Hope is willing to fight for you, how Vulnerability can make you stronger, or how powerful it is to Dream.

I believe life is full of magic and miracles, and I aim to create a space for you to see all those beautiful wonders around you and within you.
